Day 1 ARRIVAL IN TOURS

Welcome to the beautiful city Tours. In the first afternoon you are free to explore and enjoy the city and the hotel.

Day 2 TOURS – HONFLEUR (280 km)

Today we ride our bikes from tours to Normandy. The first stop will be at the mythic 24hr of Le Mans circuit. Here we will ride a portion of the road course. After that we visit some beautiful ancient villages of Normandy. We will stop to admire the Basilica of Lisieux, home of St Teresa. We continue our road till Honfleur where we will stay overnight.

Day 3 HONFLEUR - STE MERE EGLISE (158 km)

After a quick breakfast in the 18th century harbor town of Honfleur we are ready to have a D-day revival day. We will go back in time and explore many major sites where this famous event took place: English beach of Juno, amazing beach of Omaha and its sadly cemetery. The final stop of the day will be at the Vilage of the St Mere Eglise known as the first village liberated by the 101st Airborne Division.

Day 4 STE MERE EGLISE - ST MALO (185 km)

Sun is up. It’s time for another beautiful day. Today we will discover the famous Unesco site of Mont Saint Michel. The legend says that Archanel Mihail appeared in front of St. Aubert, bishop of Avrances city and advised him to build a church on the island. The bishop ignored the order and archangel Michael put his finger light on their head to make sure that the bishop will do exactly. After we visit the monastery and have a tasty lunch will go to discover the seaside city of St Malo.

Day 5 ST MALO – CHINON (315 km)

Today we ride our bikes till the ancient riverfront city of Dinan. We continue our road until we reach the amazing and beautiful Loire Valley where we will discover many ancient castles. The most attractive castles are: Azay le Rideau, Chambord, Chenonceaux, Amboise and Cheverny. Also, the Loire Valley is one of the world's most well-known areas of wine production and includes several French wine regions. We continue our road till the final destination of the day, Chinon where we will spend the night.

Day 6 CHINON

This is the first free day of the tour. You are able to take your bike and discover the area. Chinon is a town steeped in history. Here is the ancient château Chinon that was the preferred residence of Henry II. In Chinon the winding streets up to the castle are lined with small shops, inns, and cafes. Also, the surroundings have many attractions including the chateaux of Langeais, Saumur, Usse and the Abbey of Fontevraud. You can enjoy a good glass of wine from the Loire Valley wine region.

Day 7 CHINON – UZERCHE (290 km)

Today we leave the valley Loire and the beautiful city Chinon and continue our road till the Limousin region. The region is world known for its porcelain and still a leader and innovator in electric equipment factories. We stop at Oradour sur Glane a martyr city that was destroyed by Germans during WWII. We ride our bikes till Uzerche where we will remain overnight.

Day 8 UZERCHE – SARLAT (137 km)

Today we will explore a region with the highest number of villages with Heritage Landmarks. One of the is Collonges-la-Rouge, a beautiful ancient town that was named after the blazing red sandstone it was built with. In the past the city prospered with income from vineyards until the end of the 19th century. Nowadays the village has focused on developing a local industry based on tourism. We ride our bikes till the capital of the Perigord region – Sarlat. Here we will enjoy the rest of the afternoon tasting the local cuisine and recharge our batteries.

Day 9 SARLAT

This day you are free to discover the beautiful village Sarlat and its amazing surroundings. Don’t miss the medieval villages of Domme, la Roche Gageac and the unique garden of Marqueyssac. Sarlat is a unique combination of history, culture and tradition. It is also known for its street theater that are organized in the summer season. Also, various cultural events are take place here each month.

Day 10 SARLAT - FIGEAC (95 km)

Today we continue explore the beauty of the villages from France where the time seems to have stopped. We leave the charming village Sarlat behind and continue our road till Rocamadour - one of the Grand Sites of France. The village is essentially just one paved street, lined with medieval houses and different sanctuaries. The sanctuaries include the Chapelle Notre Dame, the basilica Saint-Sauveur, the Saint-Michel chapel, the Palace of the Bishops and three chapels. We continue our road till the Village of Figeac, but not before visiting the Cave of Padirac - one of the major French geological curiosities.

Day 11 FIGEAC - MILLAU (179 km)

Today we are in the heart of the Quercy Region – Figeac. We ride our bikes and the road that follows the UNESCO Trail of Compostela, part of the Way of St James pilgrimage route. We stop to visit Conques – a medieval village built on a hillside. Here we find the abbey-church with its splendid tympanum, which remains one of the most important centers of art and spirituality in the western world. We continue our road till Millau where we will remain overnight.

Day 12 MILLAU – NIMES (230 km)

Today we start the day with a visit at the Millau Viaduct, the highest road bridge in the world. This is the starting point for discovering one of the most deserted parts of France – the National Park of Cevennes. We enjoy a scenic ride passing through the stunning Tam’s gorges and its beautiful medieval villages. We ride on twisty and curvy roads until we reach the lovely city of Nimes. This ancient roman city is the entry portal of the amazing region of Provence. Here we’ll have dinner and we’ll spend the night.

Day 13 NIMES - AVIGNON (80 km)

Today we’ll enjoy a short but spectacular ride from Nimes to Avignon. We’ll ride through beautiful sights and smells of Provence. We’ll have a short stop in the lovely village of Baux de Provence and at Pont du Gard. As the sun sets we arrived in the UNESCO city of Avignon the place where we’ll spend the following two nights.

Day 14 AVIGNON

This is the last free day on the tour. Enjoy it and the discover the lovely village of Avignon.

Day 15 PARIS

Our journey comes to an end. It’s time to pack our bags and say Goodbye to our friends. We take the train and return to Paris.
