Day 1: Lisbon to Coimbra (363 Km)
The adventure begins in Lisbon. We will ride from Belém to Cascais by the riverside on the way to Cabo da Roca - the westernmost extent of mainland Portugal and continental Europe . Then we hit the road and ride till the beautiful Sintra, also known as "the city of love”. Our next destination is the amazing Center-West Atlantic coast. In our way will pass through fishermen and surfers villages (Peniche and Nazaré) . We’ll pass on one of the most beautiful sea side roads, called the Atlantic road. We continue the road till Coimbra, the final stop of the day. Here will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Coimbra to Porto (210 Km)
Today we leave behind the lovely city of Coimbra and head to Porto for a special day. This day is dedicated to the Europe’s next Food and Wine Mecca: Porto. It will begin with small ride by the sea side and then a very tasty tour!! You will have the chance to enjoy all the delicacies prepared by the little eateries and small restaurants that make up the Porto Food Scene. We will also spend the night here.
Day 3:Porto to Alfândega da Fé (235 Km)
After a hearty and delicious breakfast we take our bikes and head to the Douro Valley to discover the oldest and probably the most beautiful wine region in the world. Surrounded by magnificent landscapes we will ride on Portuguese National Road number 222 (Régua to Pinhão) that has been recognized by many travelers and motorcycle rental companies as the best riding road of the world. Some studies say that the road has the perfect value 10-1. This means that every 10 seconds spend in a straight line are followed by 1 second in a turn. The stunnig area of the Douro and the corrugated lush green hills is a perfect combination that will offer you one of most beautiful rides of your life!! The final stop of the day is Alfândega da Fé, a small but beautiful municipality in northern Portugal.
Day 4: Alfândega da Sé to Bragança (362 Km)
Today we leave behind the amazing region of the Doura and we continue our trip north to the forgotten, unexplored Portugal of Trás-os-Montes (that means behind the mountains). Here we discover a Portugal that stood still in time for decades. You will feel your motorcycle wind surrounded by scenic views and fresh air. We ride our bikes till we reach the lovely city of Bragança with its well-preserved medieval castle. Here we’ll have dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Bragança – Monção (291 Km)
Today will be delighted with a magic ride through the National park of Peneda-Gerês. The area extends from the plateau of Castro Laboreiro to the plateau of Mourela, covering the mountain ranges of Peneda, Soajo, Amarela and Gerês. Here we’ll discover a vast amphitheatre sculptured by geological formations, winds and water. As we ride on the mountain we’ll discover the effects of the last glaciation. Aslo we’ll see the locals in the traditional village and enjoy the local cuisine. The natural resources of this privileged landscape have all been preserved. As the sun sets we head to Monção the place where will spend the night.
Day 6: Monção – Lisbon (484 Km)
The last day of the tour will be the return to the seaside. We ride till Viana do Castelo, an Atlantic city further north in Portugal. This city is famous for its beautiful landscapes created by the present of the river, the impressive mountain and the sea. Admire here lovely streets and alleys with their special characteristic facades with mosaics, a proof of the Portuguese Architecture. We continue our road till we reach in the historic city of Barcelos, which impresses with its Gothic medieval bridge, that dates back from fourteenth century. After a tasty lunch here we get our bikes and ride back to Lisbon the place where this amazing journey had start.
